Garmin, Zwift, Rouvy, Hevy and Fitbod connect today, and more are being set up. They all live in Settings → Connections, under Working today. Apple Watch and Apple Health are the exception — those arrive through our iPhone app rather than this sync.
- Open Settings and find the one you want — Garmin Connect is the worked example below; Zwift, Rouvy, Hevy and Fitbod follow the same three steps.
- Press connect and sign in to Garmin in the window that opens. You are signing in to Garmin, not to us — we never see that password. (Hevy is the odd one out: it asks for an API key you generate in Hevy's own developer settings, not a password. Fitbod asks for your Fitbod email and password on a page hosted by Terra, our data provider — TriHonu never sees them.)
- Approve the access request.
From then on your activities arrive on their own. Nothing needs the app to be open.
Worth knowing:
- Garmin is not delivering at the moment. Since 21 September, sessions and overnight data from Garmin have stopped arriving for most athletes, and sending planned sessions to a Garmin watch has been paused since 1 September. Garmin is changing how partners reach its data, and we are working on it with Garmin; reconnecting does not change it. Your Garmin row in Settings says so while it lasts. Until it is back, upload a session's .fit file to bring it in, and put a planned session on your watch by cable.
- Your history comes across too. For Garmin the import starts by itself the moment you connect — activities up to five years back, sleep and HRV for the last three months — and fills in over the following hours, newest weeks first. For every other platform press Import history on its row in Settings; it reaches as far back as that platform lets our data provider go.
- Reconnecting is safe. It does not duplicate anything you already have, and it is the first thing to try if a platform stops sending — except Garmin right now, as above.
- Your plan does not depend on the watch. Open the day in TriHonu to see what to do; every session is there whether or not it reached the watch.
